STS Metals Acquires Forged Products Assets and Retains Its Experienced Workforce
Addition brings a 6,500-ton open-die forging press and decades of forging expertise to the STS Metals family
STS Metals is proud to welcome STS Forged Products to the STS Metals family, adding a 6,500-ton open-die forging press that significantly expands the scale and range of forging capabilities available to our customers.
The 6,500-ton press is capable of producing open-die forgings weighing up to 30 tons and measuring up to 125 inches in outside diameter and length, giving STS Metals the ability to support substantially larger and more demanding forged products.

“Bringing such a large open-die press into the STS Metals family is a major expansion of what we can offer our customers,” said David Beddome, Chief Executive Officer of STS Metals. “Forged Products combines that scale with decades of technical expertise, a strong reputation for reliability and a proven ability to solve difficult manufacturing challenges. This capability creates exciting opportunities across our existing markets while also expanding our reach into Oil & Gas, energy, and heavy industrial applications.”
Forged Products brings experience working with titanium, nickel alloys, stainless steels, alloy steels and carbon steels, supported by capabilities in heat treatment, machining, and non-destructive testing, along with AS9100 and ISO quality certifications.
The addition of Forged Products expands the STS Metals manufacturing footprint into the Houston and Gulf Coast region and adds valuable experience in the Oil & Gas, energy, and heavy industrial markets.
Together, STS Metals and Forged Products will build on a shared commitment to technical excellence, responsiveness, and solving customers’ most demanding manufacturing challenges.
